The AODA Leadership Team primarily communicates electronically. The board of directors (the 8 voting members and 2 Nominating Committee Chairs) meets face-to-face twice a year:
- Mid-Year Meeting around November (when funds permit, if not, this is done electronically)
- Annual Meeting around April (in alternate years the venue is at the Bi-ennial conference
If funding permits, other Leadership Team members are invited that are relevant to the meeting's agenda. At the Annual Meeting the incoming board members are invited to orient them to the board, the organization and have a handover with the outgoing board member.
